Strawberry Shortcake Sauce

Ingredients

• 2 quarts strawberries
• ½ cup white sugar

Directions

Cut strawberries. Sprinkle with sugar. Mix well. Let stand 1 hour. Serve over shortcake, with whipped cream if desired.
